Elderly Compassionate Care, Macedonia Education Technology and Career Academy Program, Melbourne, FL
Elderly Compassionate Care, Macedonia Education Technology and Career Academy Program is a veteran and faith-based program that assists Brevard’s’ low to medium income residents obtain scholarship funds for entry level healthcare training in Home Health Aide (HHA), Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), and Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) career fields.
We are the only countywide organization that provides mentoring, scholarship assistance, advocacy and support programs that help students achieved their healthcare career goals. Students are also closely vetted to establish their commitment and passion for this career field.
Two preparatory programs established by Elderly Compassionate Care , that help students meet training enrollment criteria are the TABE Boot Camp and the TEAS Prep Academy. Through the resources provided by these two programs student candidates get refresher face-to-face training on core academic skills; reading, language and math and more, so they can pass their entrance exams the first time.
Upon completion of training and certification, students receive job placement assistance. Ultimately, our goal is to provide financial and academic resources to low-to-medium income residents, consequently allowing them to effectively enroll in healthcare training, and upon successful completion of all requirements, obtain their desired healthcare position. This goal is in direct response to the increasing shortage of healthcare workers in Brevard County.
